Meet The Founder

Hi!
My name is Ryan Miele and I’m the founder of Turbobo,a therapeutic stuffed dog. Turbobo was designed to serve as a companion to reduce anxiety in children, adults with special needs, and those suffering from cognitive illnesses such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
I recently graduated from high school in Connecticut (class of 2023) and will be attending Brown University to continue my education and personal development.

So, why did I invent Turbobo? Throughout my years in middle school and high school, I volunteered at various charitable organizations within my community.

This included tutoring young children during the summer in academics and sports, and working with children and adults with varying degrees of autism and cognitive illnesses in institutions and homes for the elderly. The everyday anxiety, stress, feelings of isolation and depression I saw, exacerbated by COVID, was overwhelming. I knew I had to try to do something to help! Thus, Turbobo, the all-in-one cost-effective therapeutic stuffed animal companion was born. Turbobo meets the FDA’s guidelines to be considered a general wellness medical device and contains five key sensory features designed to reduce anxiety: weight (the dog weighs five pounds), zippered ears containing an ice pack and a heat pack, an aromatherapy component, a fidgety tail, and a hard tactile velcro patch. It is my hope that everyone can have access to this mental health support device to reduce this widespread daily anxiety and stress.

To further my mission, my company has committed to donating 5% of all Turbobo units purchased to underserved families within our greater community. Turbobo says, “You Got This!” Together, “We got this!”
